For a 100 ft. light rope. the remote is surprisingly short ranged. You have to be within 4-5 feet of the plug to use the remote. Forget about inside the house or even stepping out next to the rope light.Otherwise, the lights are bright, colors are vibrant and the protective cover is thick and should hold up well in the weather.We will use these on a programable switch that starts them every day at sundown. The rope is mounted under the lip of stairs in our backyard surrounding our pool area. Although they work fine time will tell. The last ropelight we had (another brand) lasted less than two years and was almost never turned on.

The media could not be loaded.  Lights are great. The flexible material that house the lights flexes easily up and down but not so much left or right, so you have to play with turns a bit. Colors are vibrant. I prefer the fade mode were colors gracefully flow from one to another (see video - note it was taken at dusk; colors only got better as the evening grew darker). Plan out your install before starting. Roll out the entire strip and let it sit in the sun to get warm for added flex before starting. Choose the right sized clips (I did not use adhesive tape); the ones I used were a little too small but still worked OK. The power cord that leads to light strip is NOT water proof so be careful where and how you store it when not in use. Otherwise, these lights are GREAT!!!

The first set of lights did not work. The seller quickly replaced them and included a return shipping label. The second set works perfectly as described and looks great in the crown molding. The power cord is only about a foot long that connects to a small plastic box that the lights and a short IR cord come off of. The IR has to be visible, did not work through the drywall ceiling. Really no big deal just had to make a small hole in the tray ceiling to stick it through near the crown molding. The only thing I do not like is the Flash and Strobe mode, they are both very fast.

Section of light strip went to another color, a few days out of return window. I only use it for the Halloween season for my display, so it's only outside for about a month. I made a channel for it to sit in, so it's not just laying there. It's secure and any connections are in a weather proof box. Stuff just doesn't last nowadays but you pay top dollar..I take care of my stuff and I expect things to last..

The lights work well and really light up a deck or patio, however the power supply box needs to be sealed in order to keep moisture out of the electronics. That being said, I called the company and they sent me a new control-power box and I was able to salvage 100' of led lights. It would be nice if the company had the offered that control-power box as a purchase item in order to replace it knowing that it is subject to failure. Other wise very satisfied with the product.

The media could not be loaded.  Beautiful product. Wyze is obviously a good company. I paid 100 for a 100ft strip. I received preowned product of only 25 ft. Wasn’t even packaged. Other products in package were new. Major fail by Amazon. No place to ask for replacement. Only refund and I need to pay 1.00 for the label because my printer isn’t working. Amazon I’m supposed to pay for your mistake? This was for a major celebration and now I won’t have the replacement in time. Super disappointed. Wrong item is not my fault.

These lights were chosen for an outdoor art installation. I was really pleased with the range and tone of colors they provided in person. Very beautiful range of colors and the transitions are smooth between colors. They seem to be quite durable to the outdoor elements so far, they've been in a a cold outside location for about a month.

I've been wanting to install an LED light strip on my deck for some time. Did a little research and selected this set. I modified the top rail and installed the lighting strip in a routed groove.The WHITE color has an obvious blueish tint to it. In less than a day, the RED color stopped working. All the other primary color buttons, individual color buttons and, function buttons work normally. Using any of the moving light features (FLASH, STROBE, FADE or SMOOTH), the RED color will not display. Besides WHITE, the RED color would have been my other choice to use.This lighting strip has a higher weather rating than most. The casing around the LED strip is quite beefy and the wire connection is well encapsulated. The RGB controller is NOT weather / water proof and, if installed outside, must go into an appropriate enclosure.There are five levels of brightness for the lights. The first two pictures of the lights on during the dusk hours shows the lights on the WHITE color and intensity on full bright. The first night time picture shows the same configuration. The last two pictures (provided they show in sequence as I have selected) is with the lighting intensity on the second from the lowest setting. This is likely the setting I will keep it on. The lowest setting is acceptable to me to provide enough light to see the decking area, just a bit too dim for me right now. The highest setting is bright and provides a great deal of lighting on the deck area.Overall, I am happy with the lights having just installed them. However, I am disappointed that the RED color no longer functions. As stated earlier, that would have been my second color choice. Therefore, I am leaving a three star rating.Thank you.
