Q: The protective speaker cover popped off while riding, and is lost. Can I get a replacement?

No you can't. Nothing is available to fix or replace anything on this unit. Cannot get additional help or even another holder if it breaks.. sorry

Q: How wide will the clamp expand ? I’d rather mount it to my frame

The holder comes with two rubber inserts that keep it nice and tight to the handle bars. I don't know how big your frame is on your bike but would suggest attaching it to your handle bars. To answer your question the clamp will open to about 2 inches or a bit more without the inserts.

Q: Will this work riding a Vespa?

It will work if you can mount it. Wind noise will be an issue at highway speeds though.
