Yes. I did just that in my previous home in Wisconsin. No problem, as long as there's enough water pressure.

Yes. Although there's not an opportunity to select a finish when checking out at Amazon, I called the company (Express Water) and they said to go ahead an complete the order on Amazon, then call them (Toll Free (800)992-8876) and give them the order number, requesting a brushed nickel finish, and they'll take care of it for you, free of extra charge.

Q: what is the main diff. between the 50gpd and 100gpd? Membrane size?

Reservoir size is a big factor. The membrane is the same for both units, read the description both of them have the 50gpd membrane size. Both units have only 50 GPD capacity membranes. I have run both systems over the last year and have seen no difference 50 GPD has been enough for a family of 5 for drinking and cooking requirements. I did buy a unit with a 110/220VAC pump to supplement one sink with lower pressure. If you have at least 45 psi either of these units will work for basic consumption needs for up to 10 people.

Q: Does this remove chloramine?

Good Question. I didn't know the answer so I did some research. Apparently activated charcoal removes chloramines but the process is slow, activated charcoal alone would not provide enough water. So, a reverse osmosis system DOES remove chloramine. Using activated charcoal filter(s) and the slow process of reverse osmosis, chloramines are removed. Purified water is stored in a tank for use. Without the storage tank, pure water would be just a trickle. The tank saves water over a period of time, making it ready for you as needed. Most systems provide 10 gallons or more of pure water per day.
