Q: Is this a short or long throw polisher?

The G9 Random Orbital Polisher is not considered a long-throw as it has a 9mm orbit size. Our G15 and G21 Random Orbitals are long throw orbitals with their 15mm and 21mm orbit sizes. We also offer our G13 Mini Long-Throw Orbital which utilizes a smaller size frame for paint correcting.

Q: Can i plugg them in at 220??

Unfortunately, neither of these polishers are rated for 220v

Q: 3” backing plate compatible?

Hello, Due to the design of the fanned counterbalance, we do not recommend converting this tool to a 3" backing plate. Our previous generation 6" polisher can be converted, or you could try our G8 Random Orbital Polisher. The G8 comes with a 2" and 3" backing plate, and features a 700-watt motor. Thanks!

Q: Should the pad be moistened?

All 3 pads must be used wet with your preferred wax or paste. These pads are useless unless you use the chemicals on them. Place 4 heavy drops on 4 corners as in north, south, east, and west. Place your orbital on the surface and just damp the area with the paste already on the buffer at slow speed 4 and then turn it up once the area has enough wax.
