Excellent build quality, as all Zeiss lens.Pros: This is by far the sharpest lens in my kit, and I own 12lens for the Canon system.Which consists of 5 Zeiss Milvus, 2.8/21 1.4/25, 2/35, 1.4/50 1.4/85,Canon L glass: 16-35/4, 70-200/2.8 ll , 100-400 4.5-5.6 ll , 24-105/4, 100mm 2.8 macro, 135/2 , 200mm/2.8So this gives you a platform for comparison,I've shot it over 6 months now, I've put it in several circumstances, High contrast, bright light with no flares or, chromatic aberrations, l haven't noticed any barrel distortion as with most wide angle lenses,Great lens for group photo, Landscape, low light, and astro photographySo if you can deal with Manual focus, I recommend it,Mostly a tripod lens as this is a heavy lens, big and bulky for a wide angle.You don't want to carry this and very many other lens on a hike,It has a very narrow depth of field,Extremely sharp from corner to corner, I think this is what impressed me most!!Great color rendition, and that famous Zeiss micro contrastCons: Expensive, Big and bulky, HeavyExpensive,If you can afford it and justify it, Or shoot group photos, Real Estate, you don't get any bowed walls, I highly recommend itCheaper now than first introduced,you tube reviews , only A coupleHope this helpsKen
