Excellent Desktop Speakers
I have had these now for 4 months. They are connected via USB to my Windows desktop PC. They sound absolutely fine. They have an undistorted sound with good balance between bass, mid and treble. They go plenty loud enough for me in my small room. Two minor niggles...1) The "power/volume" knob on the front panel is a volume knob only. The power switch is on the back.2) Occasionally (for me about once a month) they won't play and you have to make a tweak to the Windows' sound settings to get them operating again.Overall, I recommend them so far.***** Update July 2023 *****I may be speaking too soon but now I have connected the speakers to my PC using an audio cable instead of USB, niggle number 2 has gone away.***** Update September 2024 *****Niggle 2 has definitely gone. I listen every day and still like these speakers.

Great sound with poor DAC
Brought it over the A-series for the USB connectivity but once I tried it I regretted. The USB DAC is an ordinary one supporting only 44.1k/48kHz in 16bits. They claims it is a 24bit DAC just because it upscales internally. However the result is far from satisfactory - the sound is lack of clarity and dynamic and kind of dull.At the end I connected it to my old Sony PHA-3 as an USB DAC via line-in and the sound is much more improved and vivid.Should have brought the A5+ instead for the same price range.
