Q: Why does it state motherboard compatability as "mini atx" when it's a mid atx tower - mid atx mobo won't fit?

i do not know if it fits an itx mobo but a regular atx mobo fits just like any case would. i have this case with an NZXT mobo in it and it’s a great case.

Not sure if this is the answer you are looking for but their is an NZXT application you install. This app is used to change all the RGB lighting on the tower and likely any RGB peripherals you may have.

big, well thought out, looks great

Personally I've replaced the two case fans with three Noctua NF-P14s but the supplied ones are quiet and shift a lot of air.The case is very well thought out, the cable management is excellent, there is a built in support for large GPUs, mounts for 2x 2.5 and 2x 2.5/3.5.Detachable filters everywhere and great airflow.Also looks great!
