I had purchased some costume pieces that I ended up finding out were too large, so I was hoping this would make up for it without breaking the bank. Other reviewers made comments on the shoulder piece looking cheap but feeling like you would expect from costume material and I would have to agree that this is the experience I had as well. If I had time to modify it, I would probably use it. However, I am going to only be using the bracers and the belt. The claim was that these bracers would fit teens and women as well as men. I would say they might not fit all men, but they fit my tiny petite wrists and I was real grateful for that since that the piece from the other set was way too big and could not be modified in any reasonable way. The belt is long like some other reviewers commented, but its really nothing to cut that to size and I would say that is a good thing because it is more customizable. Overall its a pretty good set and there is several costumes it could compliment.

Appearance was a little lacking. I ended up adding some rivets and gussets to make it better. Not too bad for the price but was a little disappointed

Quality is fair, but it's not made to fit a grown man. I'm 6ft, 230 pounds (no belly) and it's not happening. Great for an average sized woman though.

I bought this item for a cheaper comfier costume design I had in mind that I could wear for my party this weekend. The armor pieces arrived incredibly fast and I have to say I was impressed by the quality. Usually when you buy this kind of thing, especially a four piece leather set for like 30 bucks you kind of expect to get what you pay for, y'know? Won't look as good as it does in the pictures, probably be thin and flimsy, etc.Not these. While the shoulder piece I will admit is not as impressive as the bracers/vambraces, the quality of the vambraces impressed me so much I was surprised they alone didn't go for about 30 bucks. The shoulderguard or pauldron is nice as well, but it feels more like the costumey material you would expect. But again, that's exactly would I expected the entire set to be like. For me, one item meeting the standards I expected at purchase and the others blowing my expectations away is still a huge win in my book. If you're looking for some extra costume pieces just to add those layers and visually interesting design aspects, I think these are a great and cost-effective option.

Bracers are awesome! Shoulder armor is awesome! The belt is nice, it's just a little long. I had to cut it to length. Besides that, it's a great product! Best bang for your buck!

My son thought this was great for his costume. All worked great.
