That would depend on the cause of the split. For example weak nails from low thyroid no it will not help. Damage from trauma no it wont help. Damage from a fungal nail infection no it will not help. Best bet go to pharmacy or a doctor get them to find a cause. But this product has helped my weak fingernails.

Hi Zita, I have been taking these for about 16 months. I had nails that would flake & break. I also had one nail that was 'wavy' from side to side, due to trapping my finger in a drawer and damaging the nail plate. I took the recommended dose for 6 months and then dropped to a maintenance dose of 1 tablet per day. I do have regular manicures and have found that the 'wavy' nail has returned to its normal shape. All my nails are also a lot stronger. You may have to keep your nails quite short for a while before letting them grow to see if they have changed their habit of curving, . Might be worth a chat with a beautician/manicurist. If you decide to try these look out for 3 for 2 deals as they can be quite expensive. Good luck.
