Q: I purchased this item to put in line with my pumpkin head unit and I'm getting very little difference in volume anyone have any thoughts

Difficult to be sure without knowing your exact setup (line level or speaker level input) and your personal expectations regarding sound pressure levels. My personal experience has been that's its definitely louder; I mainly play it at a similar level to before but it sounds less stressed when doing so and the volume scale on the display is about a 3rd lower to achieve this loudness. This is when connected via high level speaker inputs. Perhaps if you're connecting via RCA the Pumpkin only has standard 2v outputs rather than the more common higher 4v or even 6v outputs modern after market stereos tend to have?

Q: When you wire this in do you piggy back power off the fuse on the rear of the headunit ? Unless useing rca then straight to battery .

Yes, it's safe to draw power from the same wires as the head unit, although when I did it I used a car specific hands free adapter loom rather than a piggy back fuse as this adapter also gave me the speaker connections needed for the high level input on the amplifier without having to cut any wires.

Q: I have 2 set of focal access 6.5 at 60w rms .is it a good choice to order this amp .do i need to buy anything else golf mk7 oem stereo .advise pleas .

im running 6.5s kenwoods and it sounds nice aswell as loud
