I only used it in a silent environment but it depends how loud the place is. As long as the mic is close to the mouth though, it works very well. For that price, it's completely worth it.

It is not about improving your voice but it will sound much better than you using the microphone built in your device and this is because the distance from this lavalier microphone to your mouth will be shorter than the distance from the built mic in your smartphone. This represents that the sound will be louder and in this case will pick up your voice louder than the wind. The wind filter also helps to reduce the wind sound.
