I've tried this out just as a regular USB hub with my main PC but also using it to connect peripherals on the Steam Deck. It works really nicely. Feels very solid and robust.I haven't had any issues with connectivity. I haven't been able to test the HDMI out yet but for everything else it seems very solid so I believe it will be good too.

This is a good little docking station at a decent price. It expands one USB-C port of a Full-Functioned device into six simultaneously usable ports, which are:HDMI 1 (4K max video resolution at 30 Hz max refresh rate);HDMI 2 (1080p max video resolution at 60 Hz max refresh rate);100W USB-C PD port (for power delivery only - not for data transfer);3 x USB-A 2.0 (480 Mbps).Some people might be critical of the USB-A ports being Gen 2.0 as opposed to 3.0 or higher, but although the theoretical data-transfer rates of USB 3.0 and above are much faster than those of USB 2.0, the key word there is "theoretical". In practice, unless you're using a high-end gaming computer and transferring massive files, there's not a huge difference in the time it takes to transfer files from one drive to another using USB 2.0 ports compared with 3.0 or higher. Also, 2.0 ports on hubs tend to deliver a more stable signal than 3.0 and above do, so they're perfect for connecting a mouse and keyboard to, for smooth responsiveness without any of the sporadic hiccups that can plague USB ports of Gen 3.0 and above.The docking station's build quality is robust. The shell is aluminium alloy - excellent for lightness and heat dissipation. The cable is sturdy, its connector is good quality, and all 6 of the hub's ports offer snug connections.Video delivery via the HDMI drives is acceptable. No flicker or stutter on high-res films. Keep in mind that video playback quality also depends on the computer that's playing the video, the connected monitors and the connecting cables. The most overlooked component in that chain is the HDMI cable; many people blame computers, monitors and docking stations for sub-par video performance when in reality it's their cables that aren't up to spec... a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.The hub's USB-C PD port works as it should. No issues there.

This looks a rather nice adaptor, in a metal box with a properly terminated cable.The description is somewhat confusing but what I received was a unit with a USB C plug, tested with my Mac Mini M2 2023. The outputs are:1 * USB C socket (handy not to lose one on my Mac Mini)2 * HDMI sockets (one HDMI specification marked on unit, other not)3 * USB 3.0 sockets (5 Gb/s) also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1The included manual asks that unknown origin driver software be installed, which if required would have resulted in the unit being dropped in the waste bin. However, the unit functioned correctly on my Mac Mini with no need for any additional software.This unit worked as expected although I have no way of stress testing the speed claims. A useful unit, perhaps a premium unit with the nice finish and at a price to match.

Why are these thunder port devices built so cheaply. Frustrated that yet another stopped working after only a short time.

Ich verwende diesen Adapter an meinem Mac Book Air. An diesem gibt es nur eine USB-C Buchse.Die Verbindung zu einem Beamer mit HDMI-Anschluss und zu einem usb-Funkstecker für eine Fernbedienung zur Präsentation hat sehr gut funktioniert.Bei der Aussenhülle des Adapters hatte ich gehofft, dass diese aus Alu-Guss (ähnlich meines Mac Books Airs) ist.Ich hatte in der Vergangenheit bereits einen ähnlichen Adapter der diese Materialität hatte. Dadurch wirkt dieser Adapter nicht ganz so wertig. Dies ist aber bei dem sehr günstigen Preis aus meiner Sicht absolut zu vernachlässigen.

Ich finde diesen Adapter sehr gut.Ich habe mir den (für meinen Laptop) gekauft um nicht immer 4 Anschlüsse anschließen zu müssen, wenn ich stationär am Tisch mit größerem Bildschirm und externer Tastatur arbeiten möchte. Ich habe den Adapter eingesteckt und los geht’s. Keine Schwierigkeiten, genau meinen Erwartungen entsprechend. Einfach top.

Ich habe den Adapter zur Ergänzung des Laptops erworben. Das Gerät wurde problemlos erkannt und die USB Ports und der HDMI Port funktionieren einwandfrei. Die weiteren Ports bzw. Karten Slots habe ich noch nicht genutzt, deswegen kann ich dazu nichts sagen.
