So far after a couple of weeks it works well casting enough light to see the key locks in the dark. It will be interesting to see how long it works before malfunctioning.

Excellent
This is such a good idea for under my stairs in the cupboard. As soon as I open the door and stick my head in the light comes on! Genius

These LED Night lights are very useful around the home, and this Veepeak product is ideal when it comes to providing light for those dark areas at night. The packaging and brief instructions are acceptable as there is little to setting it up. I hope this review is also helpful. This product was actually positioned on my upstairs landing for help finding the bathroom door at night which is close to the stairs. The light automatically turns on when you approach it a few metres away.It uses 3 AA Alkaline or Rechargeable batteriesGenerally speaking there really isn't much to this product, simply fit the three AA batteries ( not supplied) and the product is ready for use. Also included is a single sticky pad so you can attach the backplate to a wall and slide the light body onto it. Make sure you have the position correct before fixing permanently as there is one sticky pad.Attaching just the backplate to the wall makes the light body removable by sliding it off and gives access to batteries and the switch. The light itself is a cool white light and brighter than other products I have reviewed. It is not a warm light but the brightness is not too uncomfortable if you're half asleep. The light comes on for about 15 seconds in the Auto position but can also be set permanently On if needed.15 seconds on Auto is enough normally but further movement will reactivate it if necessary by just moving. The night sensor is correctly set and does not trigger on unless the ambient light is dark enough which saves battery life.As for battery life I don't know yet but as it is only triggered a few times for a minute or two every 24 hours I don't expect that to be a problem.I would rather have one of these than a version that requires a plug.I actually plan on buying a few more having tried this one supplied for the review. The pricing of this product is very reasonable considering how good it is.They can be placed almost anywhere, probably worth trying on the ceiling.
