Portable, Sexy, Amazing Sound
I had doubts about the small speakers, but they turned out perfect for me. Within minutes I pulled up the Soft Stage EP sound and was improvising for hours. Months later and it is the only sound I've used. The keys are a little slippery, but I've gotten used to it. I was going to get a different pitch bend controller 3d printed. It looks easy enough to do, but I've gotten used to it too. And because I'm a trombonist, I use that pitch bend a lot! It's funny how I translate those bending ideas when I'm playing a real piano! m o t h

Amazing sounds but keys are hard to play
This keyboard has amazing sounds. Its Concert Piano setting is incredible. But you won’t be able to hear it through its little speakers nor can you play it with its inadequate keys. Play it through a good sound system with another MIDI controller and you'll hear what I'm talking about.Cool features:* it looks really nice. It's very light weight. I like the boxy design. You can set a computer on top of it.* Rhythms and auto accompaniment are super fun to play with* 6 AA batteries have good life. I have rechargeables.* You can bring this keyboard in bed with you to make sweet music for your lover* Use the MIDI Bluetooth to change voices. You can only save 5 favorite voices on the board itself, but I have all my favorite sounds saved on my iPad and can send those Program Changes wirelessly.* use a USB-C TO USB-3 cable and connect it to your iPad. The MIDI messages are sent bi-directionally. And the audio from iPad goes to the Go:Keys3, so sound from both iPad and Go:Keys3 will come out of the Go:Keys3 speakers, or whatever sound system that is connected to. So you don't need to connect iPad separately* With the latest firmware update (1.1.0 as of today) Press EXIT + ENTER + HOME and then turn the dial to quickly disable local control. This is useful when you have sounds produced by another controller and you don't want to hear sounds made by Roland's own keys.* Hold HOME and then turn the dial. This will change the home display quickly.* Hold TRANSPOSE button and click a key around middle C to quickly transpose.* Overcome the missing 1/4" outputs by using a summing cable on the 1/8" output. I made one myself by soldering the T and P from a TPS cable, but you can also buy summing adapters.* Create a free account on Cloud Connect. You can download the freebies and transfer them with a flash drive to the keyboard.* Create CSV files for chord patterns and put them on flash driveBad:* the keybed is not good. They are very hard to press. The pivot point is at the top of the keys, so if you have to play black notes or more complex chords, your fingers will get tired. I have the keyboard set on the lightest velocity curve to compensate but it's still harder to play than a real piano.* Little memory. I tried loading all of the styles from the 15 style packs available on Roland Cloud and there was not enough room for all of them. This makes me estimate the available memory at around 4MB. But if you keep a flash drive handy you can load stuff from there. And the recommended method for recording audio tracks is to the flash drive anyway.Things that could be fixed with a firmware update:* USB Audio Volume and BT volume should be in the Menu>Mixer panel. To get to these you have to go to Menu>System>Input* More MIDI support. Right now you can send messages to Channel 4 and control the upper voice program and play it. But you can't control the lower voice, the accompaniment or the scenes. I'd love to see MIDI clock messages so it can sync with other apps. Start and stop MIDI clock with the accompaniment. I realize that the Go Keys 5 allows an expression pedal to start/stop the acccompaniment, which is nice.

Amazing
This piano surprised me in different aspects, among which I highlight the variety of timbres, sound quality and weight of the keys.

Don’t buy!!!!
Brand new and trying to hook it up to my computer, won’t work. Spend days and money buying multiple cords. Regret this purchase enormously. Guy at the music store said this was ancient technology and cords. I bought June 18 2025 it’s aug 1 2025.I used $400 I don’t really have to buy this for recording on my computer and it doesn’t work. And now it’s too late to return. I am so furious. This is just what I needed in the middle of my divorce. Spending $400 for crap that doesn’t work right. Thank you Amazon for bending me over and royalty effing me. Maybe you and my ex husband could go out for drinks and swap stories about.

Roland electric piano style keyboards are just quality
Excellent all around piano style keyboard. Easy to use and great value for the money and you can take it on the road wherever you go.

Horrible key action.
Not for anybody that plays complex chords. Even 7ths are difficult if there are any black keys. The spring action on the keys is too stiff and if you have to play a note 2/3 thirds up the way to the top, it is much harder. After very much playing my fingertips got sore from having to press so hard. Lots of great sounds, but not easy to access without a lot of button pushing. Also not impressed with the styles. I missed the return window by one day, so I guess I am stuck with it.

Amazing
I'm not a keyboard player, although I'm a musician. This keyboard was recommended by a friend of mine that does play keyboards. It is very easy to learn if you have the patience and very easy to play and satisfies all my music needs as a multi-instrumentalist. Anyone from beginner to an experienced musician enjoy this.
