Super easy to install and use!
Exactly what I wanted to backup data from my laptop. Super east to install and use!

I wan't able to unlock it to use it on a Mac Pro
I had to return this because it came damaged from the factory. I wasn't able to unlock it or even use it and I could not locate a customer service number for support.

works with a little downside
Item works as intended.The packaging is more stirdy compare to the non-ultra version.The black was received instead of the ordered blue.This version can get more hot to the touch; this could be due to the metal case and the unit being slimmer.Just to note the one I received can only work on usb3 port and not on usb2. Maybe it is because the unit requires a higher power output present on the usb3.So this one is not usb backward compatible as stated by WD.the issue is the included usb-c cable does not work. If you have an existing working type-c, it can be used instead.also the transfer speed is slower with this version compare to the other version I have.

Quality control issues?
Bonus points for being one of the only external drives that is all USBC. For some reason most of the others use USB a or b.Two issues. First, the drive never goes to sleep when not being used. It spins and spins all night. As long as my computer is on. This is not good for longevity.Second, this drive has a vibration to it. While it's spinning, as slight as it is, you should not feel any vibration on the outside. It means there's imperfect alignment, and the disc is precessing.
