It's fast, versatile and built like a tank!
I needed a fast backup device with both USB-C and USB-A ports, and this one fit the bill perfectly. I was immediately impressed by the weight of this thing. I don't think it's a piece of plastic on it. The speed is very impressive and the half terabyte storage fills the backup roll perfectly. An excellent choice!

Great price for 1TB with USB A and C. Expect about 1/4-1/2 the advertised speeds for any device.
I'm not too worried about the read/write speeds. I am used to waiting while files transfer. However, this advertises transfer speeds up to 1000MB/s. I bought this specifically to use for music in my car. I just got it yesterday and I agree with others that this thing is heavy for it's small size, but I don't think that is bad. It feels sturdy. I plugged it into my Windows 11 computer and it was recognized immediately, into the USB C port and moved 19,000 songs (315GB). You can see the write speeds at 188 and 217 MB/s.I then copied the files back (just because I wanted to write this review and test the speed. You can see the read speeds at 384 and 450 MB/s. It was getting over 500.These transfers were not done in a clean environment. I have cameras around my house that I am watching from this computer. I am watching TV through a web browser. I am running a Plex server (which had no current users during these transfers, but the services were still running). I also have many browser windows and discord running. My point is showing all this is that, the 1000MB/s is likely what they achieved in a clean test environment. In the real world, we do many things that take up computer resources and slow down the actual speeds we get from these devices. This drive functions exactly as expected and the price is the best I found for the 1TB size and with both the USB A and USB C connections.

Get's pretty hot!
Works great, but gets pretty hot as long as it's plugged in.... in a sturdy metal case.

Very fast drive and a good value for the price.
I have been very impressed with this drive. I have written 100GB of data to the disk in one copy and it ran fast the entire copy. I have seen sustained speeds of 800MB/s. The drive does get slightly warm, but nothing to be concerned about. I also like the weight of the drive. It has a nice solid feel to it.

Research phone compatibility
Its not compatible with all androids therefore you might have to format and download an app to transfer from phone to device. But it's top quality and I use it on my PC faithfully

It worked great
I got this for my man to transfer some data from an old work computer to his new one. He's a software programmer and he dreaded doing it. However, he said it made it much better and that it was pretty fast. He also mentioned that the usb port had a little bit to do with the speed, one computer had a usb2 and the other was a usb3 port so the usb3 was noticeably faster. It's great quality and I'm sure we'll be using this for a good long time!

2 Partitions, the first one is useless. Also gets Hot.
Well it works but there are issues. The drive comes formatted with 2 partitions, the first one is a tiny 17MB space that can't be used and can't be deleted. It causes some confusion on my Framework Chromebook. The 2nd partition is the 256GB of space (ExFAT) you expected and seems to work fine once you've tripped over that useless bit in front of it.The first partition shouldn't be there; it should have been left out or deleted during manufacture. Newbies beware. Also the thumbdrive gets Hot; even when it's just plugged in and not doing anything.
