We moved into a new house, and my girlfriend immediately installed "night" lights bright enough to serve for lighthouses, aircraft runways, and surgical operating rooms. In self-defense & seeking sleep, I had to find something much dimmer. That was a long search. I was surprised to find so many product descriptions of night lights boasting of being bright enough to read books by, even in colors of amber and red. I was surprised to find customer comments describing how their nightlights enabled them to hop into bead and read the fine print on insurance contracts before dozing off in the evening. Everyone in the world except you and me seemed to have gone mad.Then I found these Vintar lights adjustable in the range of 1 to 15 lumens. Oh frabjous delight! And they do live up (or is it down?) to that promise.There are some improvements I would like to see, thinking only of my own desires, in next year's model. I'd like the size and shape of the device minimized to about the diameter and shape of a quarter-dollar coin, just covering the 3 holes in the electrical outlet. In coin mode, the adjustment control could be converted from a slider to a dial circumnavigating the margin. The dial would make the adjustment more controllable than the current model's very sensitive slider.Bottom line: If you want a light to read by, then try a lamp. If you want a dim nightlight, then try this one.

Pros:There are several competitors, even one that looks and seemingly functions the same. I went with this one because of the Kelvin Rating, which unlike the other is a warmer 2700k (kelvin) rather than the competitors 3000k, which is the difference between the tone of a real candle light and something that looks more like traditional LEDs or almost a florescent bulb would emit. Note: When I say candle light, i mean it, but i don't mean just one candle, since you can adjust the brightness to what would be the equivalent of a aprx. 5 candles burning (trust me, bright enough)!Use cases:I now have have one or more in all hallways and unoccupied bedrooms at about 25% power.Behind vases and hall doors with glass panes at 100% power.Bottom line, if you want bright, but warm, a classy look with added security, then this is for you.Cons:>Would like to have seen the dimmer slider be a stepped "clicky" slider so that I have quick/easy confidence when trying to calibrate all my hall lights to each other :)>Wish it was rectangular vs. large square so that it looked a bit less utilitarian and even more sleek than it already is. This would allow for the added benefit of having it not hang lower (or higher) then the outlet itself and allow it to stay within the margins of the outlet. I would only deduct .33% of 1 star for this if I could, so because I cannot... they get a deserved 5 stars from me! :D

The manufacturer provided a UL file number that isn’t theirs and the model number isn’t listed as a certified unit. There is no UL holographic label so these are obviously not Certified. Since the manufacturer indicated these are UL certified but they are not, I can not trust the manufacturer understands what safety is so I will be sending these back.6/2019 update - the seller removed all mention of being UL certified. This doesn’t change my review very much as I would still send these back due to being used in my kids room and therefore I need units that have passed some safety standards.

Love these nightlights! Got 6 of them in the bundle and they're all being used in various locations around the house and attached garage. First time I've ever seen a nightlight that can be adjusted. What a great feature and on a very affordable night light! Turned all the way up, they are quite bright, great for getting up in the middle of the night, especially when you're at that age where your night vision isn't what it used to be. If you want a little less light in a particular place, just turn it down. They have give off a warm light that I prefer for a night light, not a harsh white light like some of the LED night lights have. The auto on-off sensor has just the right amount of sensitivity so it's on when it's needed and off when it isn't. That's also important to me. They have a flat profile, nothing butting out from the wall, very sleek. They're certainly not tiny, but it they were smaller, they might not have the same capacity for bright light, so I can live with the size, especially since it's flat and unobtrusive. Now, it's just a question of how long they last. With other nightlights, that can be a real hit or miss proposition and would be the only thing I can think of that would change my enthusiasm for these dandy little night lights!

These are great. We’ve placed them throughout our house. The adjustable brightness is wonderful. We keep the ones in the bathrooms up bright and then the ones in the bed rooms dimmed very low. I would definitely recommend these to anyone and buy more if I needed any additional night lights.

I have bought the cheapest nightlights I could find for years, but I am now cured of that. I plugged these in to test them as soon as they arrived, and I loved them. The fact that they are adjustable make them a solid investment. I also love the fact that when it is light in the morning, these little rascals are off duty, with no effort on my part. No turning them off or on. They adjust to the amount of light, and I can make them as dim or as bright as I like them. I like to sleep in a very dark room, but I do need some light if I have to get up and go to the bathroom. I can see where I’m going without smashing my toes into the furniture or the walls, and I can see without it being too bright. This light is the perfect balance for me. I put one in the kitchen, and that one is very bright so everyone can see where they are going. I am also going to put one in the bathrooms, and that means I need to order another package of these for the other rooms. This is a great product and a solid investment, and totally worth the price. I read reviews before I buy anything, and the reviews were so positive that I felt these were the best I could buy. I was right.

Great set of lights, very low profile and is about the width of the socket panel. Maybe a few mm on each side bigger but not a problem for most situations.The Light sensor is great and dims and brightens very well. I wish there was a simple on and off switch when you want it full on or off. I don't know where the sensor is....it might be obvious where it is ...the hole on top where you can see the sensor but I have had situations where nothing is covering it and it gets bright or vice versa I am covering it and it does nothing. Now it does react to overall ambient light in the room so maybe there is another one that I am unaware of but it functions as a dimmable light that goes on and off when you turn the room light on and off and works when the room gets brighter and darker with the sun.The rating is asking for motion sensor which....it doesn't have unless I got a different model. But it does have a light sensor.

Son muy prácticas, el hecho de que se apaguen y enciendan solas es genial. Iluminan bien en la noche sin ser demasiado brillantes, cumplen la función de luz nocturna como para cuando se levanta uno al wc. Relación de calidad y precio muy buena.

ICH möchte in der Nacht mit Licht schlafen! Frühr habe ich immer ein Teelicht angemacht aber die Nachtlichter ist eine gute Alternative
