Q: Do I need an arduino for this? does it come with batteries? Any additional components needed for this build?

Does not ship with batteries. They are lithium 18650. Yes the Arduino Uno is included. Very nice kit, look for a video on their website, it shows the assembly very nicely.

Q: would I be able to add a camera onto the bot? Is the microprocessor capable of this?

Hi, thank you very much for your question. This robot cannot add camera module. The microcontroller board cannot meet the needs of the camera module. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Q: what kind of batteries does this use?

This tank robot is equipped with a 18650 2-cell battery holder only. It's a pity that users need to prepare two 18650 batteries by themselves because of the shipping limit. If you have any questions else, feel free to contact us.

The 18650 is the size. Brand is your choice, please note there is a lot of overstating mAh capacity in online listings. orbtronics brsnd have given me good service
