Yes, I have an echo dot connected via the 3.5mm socket, the amp drives speakers in an old radiogram.

Q: Can you disconnect the radio? When you move from line in to Bluetooth it passes through radio and you get a blast of white noise.

Turn the volume down before you switch modes would be my solution

Not sure what jpl speakers are but you can hard wire any speakers as usual to the amp with + and - twin speaker cable.
