STAEDTLER 8023 10 FIMO Soft Oven-Hardening Polymer Modelling Clay - Starter Kit, Assorted Colours (Pack of 9 x 25g Half Blocks & Accessories)

I love making things out of FIMO, and this is the first selection of FIMO Soft that I've bought. As it is soft, it's a little more challenging than the standard FIMO for making some fiddly things, but perfectly good for messing around with my nieces and nephews. At the price I paid, this was good value for the contents, as it does contain some tools as well as the FIMO. Great introduction to FIMO for younger generations.

This is a lovely creative gift I purchased for my 9 year old daughter last Christmas. Although small, this starter set is well worth the price. My daughter has made lots of small items, and still has a decent amount of unused clay left.The modelling clay is of good quality, and comes is supplied in rectangular blocks. Various bright colours are included, which can all be blended together if required.The pack also includes a piece of plastic sheeting to work on, a modelling tool and a bottle of varnish.I think this would make a good gift for girls and boys alike. You can leave them to it, and only need to supervise them when the 'creations' are ready for the oven. They need to go in at 110 degrees. I used the bottom oven of the aga. The clay can be removed after 30 minutes, then you leave it to harden.

I'm loving clay as a new hobby at the moment and this clay is a fab selection of colours to start off. The colours are nice and deep but easily made lighter or darker with either while or black clay. They are the smaller half blocks but a great starter kit. I also got it reduced as packaging was broken but it didn't change the clay inside. You also get a shaping tool and a little pot of varnish/glue.

I bought it for my granddaughter, as my children already enjoyed Fimo. She has made some lovely decorations and with the help of the family she has lots of fun. Modelling with Fimo brings creativity and promotes imagination in everyone inclusive adults.

Easy to use and comes out very nicely. Lovely colours and cute little tools. Not a great quantity but it's a starter kit and way easier to use than the hard fimo

Brought to use with my children. all my children are lacking in gross and fine motor skills and this clay is really hard and takes a lot of working to use it. You get a nice variety of colours, but you get so little of each that it all got used in one session.not very good value for money. The varnish was good, but the tool you got didn't really help for shaping. Overall buy I wouldn't buy again and will look at other clay companies.

More a review of Amazon Warehouse than the actual product (which is excellent, having used over 30 years). “Used/Packaging damaged” may mean missing items. Mine looked okay, but the tool and mat were both missing. Don’t mind too much, except there was another available for a similar price and that might have included everything. If parts are missing, please say so. The plastic outer had been opened at one side but I didn’t realise until it fell open after I’d cut off the bottom! Should’ve been inspected and/or people should return everything in tact.
