Finally, a quality GC controller that's not a billion dollars.
I had been WAITING for what felt like forever to buy a Smash 4 Gamecube controller, and the price of the controller was just not going down ($145.00 at the time of writing for the white Japan-exclusive). I could not justify spending that sum of money on a device that should only cost $25.00 (which it did, at one time, and I bought one for my brother in June of 2016).So when Nintendo announced they were going to be selling Smash Bros Ultimate Gamecube controllers, I immediately navigated to Amazon.com and sought it out, praying the price wasn't outrageous. Thirty bucks! I smashed that 1-click-buy button faster than OJ Simpson's white Bronco. It came in the mail today and felt great in my hands. Yes, it is made with cheaper materials than the OG Gamecube controllers, and yes, it has a matte finish (which I really enjoy nonetheless), but it performs as you'd expect a brand new Nintendo Gamecube controller to perform—flawlessly! I've been on this controller since Melee was released in 2001, and let me tell you, go with the Nintendo GC controllers, there are no rivals. It's not your Xbox One Elite, or your Dualshock 4—it's an OG Gamecube controller, fresh from a Chinese factory and so ready to get some Smash on!

The best controller of gamecube
I was afraid to buy this control for all the bad comments I had read about it, but it turned out to be the best control in the market today, it is not de-calibrated, it works well, it feels good.A week ago I bought a PowerA Gamecube controller but it feels ...Instead, this control, feels solid and as it should feel an original controlthe only "bad" thing that i found, was the Z button, It feels like it's stuck or sticky, after all, its the best gamecube controller

The work great.
Comment to other reviewers:I maybe wrong but, I'm pretty sure the gamecube, wii, wii u, and switch console center the joysticks to it's placement when you plug it in, which is why if you plug it in while the joystick is tilted it centers it to that and the neutral position now moves everything. All that to say the fact that the joystick is off centered when you test it on PC (which it wasn't designed for) doesn't really equal bad game play when you actually use it on console as the system "calibrates" it.Plus, isn't that the whole reason for the calibrate feature on PC?Even my OG gamecube controllers also aren't centered on PC but to be honest that might be because they are over 17 years oldShort Review:Feels great, different plastic though. Cable is longer. Joystick is a little stiffer which errrr... but might just be because it's brand new.

Everything is perfect, buttons slightly mushy
I bought 5 of these, only tested one as I'm hoping to sell the others to friends/ have backups as I don't expect anymore iterations of the gamecube controller to release.I have no idea what all the 1 and 2 star reviews bought, but I doubt it was this controller. Everything feels completely solid. The sticks have 0 wiggle, the buttons are a little mushy, actually more mushy than my original gamecube controller after I replaced the conductive silicon underneath the buttons. I expected the buttons to feel better. That one reviewer, Alec, who posted screenshots must have done something wrong. If you're connecting the gamecube controller through dolphin using a Wii U adapter there is no way to adjust the deadzones. If he is using 3rd party, that's where the issue comes in. His screenshots at time of writing don't even appear to be the latest version of dolphin...Anyway. No input delay on melee, no deadzone issues with joy sticks. Sounds like the other reviewers got lemons. The ultimate game to test is monkey ball and my character was standing dead still even after playing with the joystick. Based on the reviews I'm scared to test the other controllers but I'm only opening them on a need basis, so I hope they work well. Nintendo puts out good products.4/5 stars because the buttons are a bit too mushy and soft for a new controller. Only A, B, X, Y - The triggers are just fine.UPDATE: I opened a second one to test. This one also had mushy buttons, however the joysticks were like the first being completely firm and having no loose movement. The second one did have the issue of the right trigger having a springing noise, but that noise is quite literally from the spring in the trigger and if you want to fix it you can just take out the spring slightly rotated and put it back in so that it vibrates in a different way. I did just that in the spring noise went away. However I am disappointed that the buttons are mushy on brand new controllers, and if you don't want to go through the hassle of replacing at you can just buy those Gamecube Conductive Silicon Pads for like $5 right here on Amazon.
