Q: Does the toaster slots take x-thick sliced bread (or even perhaps the xx-thick slices)? thank you.

It can take fairly thick slices. I make my own bread and can’t cut it thin so the slices are quite thick.

Q: The larger slots only press down when the smaller slots are down. Is this how it's supposed to work? I can't click down the larger slots on their own

Yes. The left hand slot handle has to be depressed first, then the right hand slider. Right hand will not work without left hand slider in down position. If you only want to use right hand slots you need to depress left slider first then right.

Q: If doing 2 slices of toast do all 4 slots heat up, or just the ones with toast in them?

It just uses one side which has been pressed down. So 2 at a time.

Q: We purchased this in May last year and it has broken. How do we go about returning it and getting a replacement as I believe it comes with a warrenty?
